In terms of his construction practice, Martin represents subcontractors, main contractors and developers. His practice specialises in Arbitration, DIFC/ADGM Courts, and the Courts of England & Wales.

Martin assists his clients in arbitrations in a number of regional and international centres, including DIAC, ICC, ADCCAC, LCIA and others. Using his extensive advocacy experience as a Barrister in England & Wales for over 7 years, Martin is better able to assist his clients from advising at an early stage of a dispute arising through to the very end of the case representing his clients fearlessly in Arbitration or before the DIFC/ADGM Courts.

Martin is a registered Part II practitioner with the DIFC Courts granting him full rights of audience to plead all types of cases from first instance to appeal. He regularly advises clients on various matters of jurisdiction, and enforcement of awards through to representation at trial and appeal. As a Barrister he is acutely familiar with the Civil Procedure Rules and laws of England & Wales and is best placed to represent clients before the ADGM Courts. He also accepts instructions from other firms seeking to instruct Counsel for interim hearings, trials and appeals before the DIFC and ADGM Courts, in addition to the Courts of England & Wales.

Martin prides himself on his advocacy which has gained recognition from the Legal 500, in addition to a senior Judge of England & Wales commenting on his cross-examination skills as ‘courteous and effective’. Martin believes in providing the best representation for his clients and has been praised for his client care, professional yet friendly manner, keen attention to detail, legal knowledge and his committed approach to representing clients in Court and Arbitration.
